History

With a history of more than 40 years in practice, BVZ Architects was founded on the idea that teamwork is the key to extraordinary building projects.  Best value and most successful results are achieved when all team members, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors, are working together toward the common goal. Each “Design Team” is specifically selected for individual project criteria, with each member bringing their special skill and talent.  Architecture, Planning and Interior Design services are the mainstream of our experience.

Experience

BVZ's practice includes a variety of commercial, educational, and single family residential projects in Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Kentucky, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and is directed toward selected owners and projects to which we feel we can make a special contribution.  Several of BVZ’s projects have received recognition in publications such as Dream Homes of Colorado, Mountain Living Magazine, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, and Ingram’s Magazine to name a few. In 1998 BVZ’s work was selected for the MAME Award for “Best Custom Home” by The Denver Home Builders Association. However, our highest reward has been a client telling us they love their home so much they prefer being there over anywhere else on Earth. We are active members of the American Institute of Architects, and work to promote the benefits of good design. We are committed to a strong design emphasis with timeless quality.  In today’s building climate, sustainable “green” design is an important aspect of our practice, and we partner with LEED accredited professionals on staff. Our Arizona Sonora Desert Museum Project has been selected to be included in the 2009 Greenbuild International Conference Tour. 

Current Focus

Our current practice is directed toward partnering and consulting with other architects, designers, and contractors with the goal of providing specialized experience and knowledge that can help them serve thier client/customers in a unique way.
